West Bridgford RFC volunteers are the heart and soul of their club, with over 35 completing their Rugby Ready Course in January.

The Rugby World Cup helped West Bridgford RFC grow as a club, attracting new players, young and old, male and female, and essential new volunteers, their club volunteer coordinators making sure all new arrivals were made welcome.

Parents are offered the chance to support training sessions and their love of the game has grown with that of their children. More than 35 parents qualifed as new coaches by completing their RFU Rugby Ready Course last month and their new skills and basic knowledge has seen them supporting the club’s Level 1 and Level 2 coaches at training.

Caroline Towndrow, Junior Volunteer Coordinator, said “This is a great opportunity to get the parents involved by supporting their children. We try to ensure that we live up to our tag line, “we aim to enjoy what we do, win when we can, but at all times, have fun!”
