Recognised as one of the UK’s leading concussion awareness and education resources, the RFU’s HEADCASE programme aims to increase understanding and provide information on concussion and other related topics, including how to prevent and manage suspected concussions.
The Scrum is a key part of Rugby Union, and one of the iconic areas of our game. In 2021, World Rugby introduced the head contact process into the global game. Players, coaches, medics and match officials came together to devise a clear step-by-step framework that determines whether contact to the head was the result of an unavoidable/avoidable action and what the level of sanction should be, if any at all. This module covers process, giving a clear understanding of how to use it during a game.
