Bedford Modern School welcomed 25 established rugby playing schools’ teachers for an RFU developer training weekend, enabling them to deliver high quality RFU accredited continued professional development in their schools and local community.

As part of the RugbySafe programme, courses such a Scrum Factory, Rugby Ready and Refereeing Level 1 are essential for all schools teachers and coaches to attend in order to deliver a safe rugby programme. Accredited teachers can develop their own conveniently-timed CPD programme in their schools and are encouraged to invite local clubs and school coaches to courses, building strong links.

Will James, Director of Rugby Ampleforth School said: “This course not only develops a school safety culture and your base knowledge around the game, but also develops your knowledge as coaches to help deliver a safe rugby programme.” For more information please contact
